NEW TO localFaces ?

If you are new to localFaces, you should start by reading this page.

Welcome to localFaces, a place to find out what’s going on around you – and for you to tell people what’s going on around them.

localFaces is a place to meet local people – people who live or work near you -  a new way to contact people in your local area.

Just launched in Spain, and soon in the UK, and with other countries to follow, you are welcome to sign up now.

You will be able to reach people who are local to you, get and give local advice, find local offers, find out what’s on, and where. Plus you will be able to tell people what you are up to, let them know what you have found, what you like, and what you want to complain about.

Base yourself either where you live, where you work, or where you play. The choice is yours.

Plus, you will have full control of your information, no worries about who is finding out what.

The main language of the site is English, but posts in any language are welcomed.

To get into the site, you need to register – there is no charge for registering. If you are not already logged in, you can see the register link top right.  You will be asked for just a few items of personal info – your name, where you are located (by which we mean, which town and country), the address of your web site (if you have one) and a screen name. That’s all!

We will send you a confirmation email containing a link that you need to click on – and that’s it!

If you are already registered, then log in, using the “Login” link, top right.

The first thing that you should do, is click on Settings, towards the right of the horizontal menu above. Here you can set

• General Settings – your email and password
• Notifications – decide what you want us to tell you about
• Facebook- if you have a Facebook account, decide how much or how little you want localFaces and Facebook to work together
• Twitter- if you have a Twitter account, decide how much or how little you want localFaces and Twitter to work together

Integrating your Facebook and Twitter accounts doesn’t need you to give us your passwords – keep them safe!
